More Aerosmith

I haven't been here in awhile! I have more pictures from my personal training days. I will post the other pictures I took back in 1988, when Aerosmith visited the Hotel Nikko San Francisco. Enjoy.

Joe Perry & Steven Tyler

Joe and his autograph to me!

This was six years later. I got to hang out with Joe and his
wife Billie. In front of Syd Mobell's Jewelers.
These guys were so cool! When they came back to Cali six years later, Joe introduced me to his wife Billie. I got to train both of them, then we went to lunch. It was amazing to walk down the street with them, and see the reaction of people who recognized Joe. Priceless.

Aerosmith (1988)

I am a die-hard jazz fan, so you can imagine my surprise when a group of guys walked into the Nikko Fitness Center. I had no clue who they were, but I knew they were someone because of how they were dressed.

I took one look at them and said, "I don't know who you are, but you must be someone, because only a rock star would dress like that". The one with the black and white tights on looked at me and said Aerosmith. I said, "who"? They introduced themselves as, Steven Tyler, Tom, and Joe Perry. I still had no clue who they were until they started singing "Walk this Way". Then I knew. But I embarrassed myself because, I thought it was Run, D, MC's song. They forgave me.

Steven Tyler was so cool.

Joe Perry was nice as well.
The year was 1988, so the mode of dressing looks hilarious now. I was in tip top shape during this time in my life. I was a personal trainer for 18 years, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Below are the backstage passes I received to the shows I attended. What a blast to be the guest of Aerosmith!

Personal Trainer

When I lived in California, I had a fantastic life! I was young, smart, gorgeous, and had a great body to boot. I moved to California from New York, so I was taming my life down so to speak. While I lived in New York, I modeled, and worked at a health club in Greenwich Village. The first year in California, I worked as a secretary at a Geo-technical Engineering firm. After working there, teaching aerobics and personal training part-time at different health clubs, I decided to apply for a job at the new Hotel Nikko. Working there gave a whole new meaning to the term Personal Trainer. I became a trainer to the stars and the weatlhy. One of my first clients was Bobby Slayton (below). He is a comedian from New York. His nickname used to be the "Pitbull of Comedy" for his razor sharp tongue. Whenever he would come to town, he would stay at the Hotel Nikko. A couple of times, I watched his baby daughter while he worked out, and his wife was marketing high end designer shoes. I just recently found out his daughter, Natasha Slayton, is one of the newest members of the Pussycat Dolls. The picture below was taken in 1988.

Wow!

I was excited to be going to another Hair function. However, that was not to be. It had been cancelled, and I did not find out until I arrived at the hotel. Needless, to say, I was very disappointed. I had to call two people I had invited to come, and tell them not to come. How disappointing. People, if you have an event planned and you know it is posted on the social media pages, you have an obligation to tell your fans, in a timely manner that the event has been cancelled. This is good business practices.

Summer Vacation is Over!

Summer vacation is over! I did so much this summer it was unbelievable. I attended many events, and am in the process of attending more. This Sunday, I will be attending another hair meet up for naturalistas in downtown Atlanta. Next month, I will be in another fashion show in downtown Lawrenceville, and I hope to be selected to model in the Taliaah Waajid World Natural Show coming up in October, the possibilities are endless.

Necklace: Gifted (handmade)
Dress: Vintage Anne Klein Couture
Location: Iwi Fresh Day Spa

I submitted the above picture as part of my audition for the hair show. Do you think it was a good picture? Please, let me know.

I taught six radKIDS classes. I haven't told you all about radKIDS yet. The program is designed to teach safety techniques to children 4-12 years old. The premise of the class is self empowerment and using the body as a weapon. I had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth Smart and her husband at a private function benefitting radKIDS. Elizabeth and her father sit on the board of radkIDS. If you would like to know more about the program, please visit us at www.radkids.org.

I am now back at work as a teacher. Kind of depressed about it, because principal wants me to travel from class to class and teach. I do not want to become a traveling teacher.......feel like the circus.
